Disbursements were made to Romania (€860 million), Czechia (€428 million), Poland (€1 billion), Lithuania (€126 million), Hungary (€79 million), Slovakia (€118 million), Slovenia (29 million) and Estonia (€60 million). These funds will help the eight beneficiary countries to modernise their energy systems, reduce greenhouse gas emissions in energy, industry and transport, and support them in meeting their 2030 climate and energy targets. This concludes the second investment cycle of the year.

The deadline to submit investment proposals for potential Modernisation Fund support in the next disbursement cycle is 21 January 2025 for non-priority proposals, and 18 February 2025 for priority proposals.
